Spreading Awareness to Youth (SAY)

Koreatown Youth and Community Center

KYCC’s Clinical Services launched the Spreading Awareness to Youth (S.A.Y.) club this year to help promote mental health awareness among high school students and to empower more young people to educate one another, raise awareness about mental health and end the stigma against mental illness. Students meet every week to participate in mental health workshops, activities and peer-led discussions on topics such as depression among adolescents. Throughout the program, SAY members grow their understanding of mental health, learn to be advocates on the issue of mental health and develop their leadership skills. If you're currently in high school and have an interest in mental health either personally or as a potential career, SAY is the place for you! Enrollment is now closed for the 2024 - 2025 school year. SAY meets every Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. – 6:20 p.m. in-person from October 2024 - May 2025.
