KYCC’s BRIDGE volunteer program, located at our Wilton site, aims to close the gaps in academic, social, and emotional growth in our elementary and middle school students by recruiting, training, and placing high school volunteers who will work directly with our students in our K-8th grade afterschool programs. Bridge provides high school students with the opportunity to earn community service hours while gaining hands-on experience in various classroom settings. Volunteers can choose from multiple days, shifts, and classrooms to fit their schedules. In addition to volunteering opportunities, the program offers engaging field trips, allowing participants to explore new environments and enhance their learning. This program is a great way for students to give back to their community, develop valuable skills, and make meaningful connections! This year summer Bridge will begin Monday, June 22nd, 2026 and end Friday, August 7, 2026. Please note that Bridgers are expected to attend every week on their assigned shift. If you are interested in joining Summer 2026 Bridge, please make sure to read all the information and submit the online application forms below: NEW AND RETURNING VOLUNTEERS Please note that we will need both your Student Application (Returning or New Applicant: https://form.jotform.com/kycceval/2026-bridge-summer-app) along with a Parent Application to be considered for the Bridge program. The JotForm link to the Parent Application Form will be sent out as we receive your Student Application. We will be having a Mandatory Bridge Orientation on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. We will be going over rules, and overview of programming and summer schedules, and signing up for field trips so please keep your schedule clear to join in person. Lunch will be provided. NEW VOLUNTEERS ONLY Since you are new to the program, we will require you to complete an in-person interview after submitting your application. Interviews will take place weekdays from 5/18- 6/5. We will follow up with you about scheduling these in the coming weeks after reviewing all applications.
